Two years ago my family created a scholarship called the Next Steps Scholarship. It was privately funded with profits from my Just Hanging Out Co.  The first year we gave one scholarship and the second year we gave two.   I am now making this my Leadworthy 3 (Leadership class) Final project.  My teacher said the project needed to leave a lasting legacy on our school.  This is me creating my legacy!

The purpose of Next Steps Scholarship is to recognize a senior student who has worked extremely hard to overcome academic and other challenges to get to high school graduation and completion.

Scholarship is awarded to a Cleveland High School Special Education student who will be graduating from CHS by completing the requirements of the student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) and will receive a high school diploma, occupational diploma or certificate, a special education diploma, a transitional certificate or and IEP certificate.

Scholarship can be used for students 'Next Steps' like college or vocational school needs like books, fees or application or other post high school programming.  Award can also be used for job interview needs like clothing.  How scholarship is used is up to the recipient!
